Dean Moss:
Founder and Volunteer Executive Director
Dean Moss is the former General Manager of the Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority who has spent his entire professional career, and the focus of his active retirement, working with water and land conservation activities. In addition to being the Founder and Volunteer Executive Director of the Friends of the Spanish Moss Trail, he is also actively involved in the Port Royal Sound Foundation as well as the Beaufort County Open Land Trust. He, along with all of the supporters of the Friends of the Spanish Moss Trail, is passionate about connecting our neighborhoods, conserving our unique water and nature preserves, cultural features, and historic sites for the enjoyment of all who live and come to the Lowcountry.
Sissy Perryman:
Public Awareness, Grant Management and Development Specialist
Sissy Perryman has 30 years of public relations, grant writing and fundraising experience in corporate and nonprofit settings. Sissy has been our professional consultant since 2013 helping to raise the Trail's profile to one of the top Trail's in the U.S. and building a large network of partnerships, grants and donor support for the nonprofit.
