Gift of a Tree

GIVE THE GIFT OF A TREE

Create a living memory with a gift of a tree along the Spanish Moss Trail.

New! Memorial Grove Near Depot Trailhead

We now have a new Memorial Grove for our popular Gift of a Tree program. This new location is along the Trail parallel to Fripp Street.  Our Gift of a Tree program is a perfect way to add beauty to our Lowcountry’s greenway – by honoring a special occasion, family member, or expressing your sympathy for the loss of a loved one. A gift of a tree is enduring, symbolic, and will grow stronger year after year.

Here is how it works: For a $3,000 tax-deductible donation, the Friends of the Spanish Moss Trail will work with you and a master arborist to identify choices for the ideal tree type and we will have irrigation maintenance to ensure it thrives and acclimates well during its first year. A permanent plaque will be placed at the base of your tree to identify your generous gift. All checks should be made payable to: Friends of the Spanish Moss Trail and mailed to:

Friends of the Spanish Moss Trail, P.O. Box 401, Beaufort, SC 29901

If you are an interested donor:  We are asking all donors interested to reach out to us at info@spanishmosstrail.com to discuss tree selection and your plaque. We will continue to plant more trees each year (but will limit our planting to once or twice a year).
